About the Song
Welcome to Auburn Summer™
"Auburn Summer" is a love letter to the people, places, and community spirit that make Auburn, California and Lake of the Pines such special places to call home. It's a nostalgic anthem for Lake of the Pines — bonfires, wake boats, golf carts, fireworks, Bruins football, bocce ball, pickleball, shoreline gatherings, dock nights, and the kind of summers that stay with you forever.
For the hometown kids, the lake lifers, and anyone chasing that feeling of freedom and good times with the people you love.
What started as a simple song quickly became something much bigger — a true community collaboration. From neighbors sharing footage and participating in filming to clubs, committees, and volunteers lending their support, this video represents the heart of a community coming together to celebrate where we live.
Whether you're a lifelong local, recently discovered Auburn or Lake of the Pines, or simply love small-town California charm, I hope this song reminds you to slow down, enjoy the sunshine, and appreciate the people around you. Most importantly, have fun!

Auburn Summer Song Lyrics
Intro
Windows down on Highway 49 Golf cart cruisin' down Torrey Pines Golden sun glowin', pine wind blowin' Hear the boat docks hummin'— …This Auburn summer…
Pre-Hook
Sunset glitter, lake wake shimmer Everybody loud but the whole world dimmer Fireworks poppin' through the pine tree cover Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this summer Red white blue through the pine tree cover Yeah we live for these Auburn summers
Chorus
Fireworks poppin' through the pine tree cover Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this summer Boat waves, gold rays, big band drummer Whole town cozy with their shoreline lover — This Auburn summer! Lake nights, pretty sights Stars over the water Auburn summer — Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this… Auburn summer!
Verse 1
Truck bed, backroad, blacktop bass knock Rattle the Yeti—by the boat dock Boat rope, cold Coke, chrome 57' Chevy Sunset cuttin' through the treeline levy Whole town lookin' postcard ready Golf carts rollin' by the sports bar steady Half the lake crowdin' the beach— wildin' Kids cannonballin' by the floatin'—island! Cold ice, Coors Light, summer night buzzin' Everybody outside got the whole dock jumpin' Small town vibe don't quit, our squad lit Whole town singin' when the chorus hit
Verse 2
Pine breeze, high speed, wakeboard driftin' Bonfire glow while the tow rope whippin' Moms playin' pickleball — so competitive Dads on pontoons talkin' stocks n fishin' rigs— livin' big Bambi crossin' slow while the sky turns dusk B.B.Q. smoke mixin' with boat fuel musk Barefoot runnin' while the bonfire lit Whole town singin' when the chorus hit
Bridge
Someday we'll look back through old frames Sun-faded memories reppin' the Bruin name Still hear the cheers and the beers by the parade Still see the spark trails fallin' from the sky flames Still got wet towels tossed in the backseat Still smell charcoal smoke mixin' lake breeze Still got that sweater smell from the bonfire Still feel our first kiss hittin' like a live wire One day these nights might feel far away Like old Polaroids slowly fade away But right now the whole lake glowin' gold light Maybe this right here really is…. THE GOOD LIFE!
Final Chorus
Fireworks poppin' through the pine tree cover Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this summer Boat waves, gold rays, big band drummer Whole town cozy with their shoreline lover — This Auburn summer! Lake nights, pretty sights Stars over the water Auburn summer — Fireworks poppin' through the pine tree cover Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this summer Fireworks poppin' through the pine tree cover Catch me at the Lake of the Pines this summer
Outro
Yeah… One more sunset ride around the lake One more barefoot dock night—lay awake One more summer we stay up late… With our shoreline lovers… We live for these …Auburn summers!!—…
